Successful tomato plants!

I'm amazed by how well my tomato plants are doing! Some are almost five feet tall and they're producing a lot of fruit. I believe that the secret to their success has everything to do with what I planted them in. I definitely didn't do anything too complicated. Just raked out my goat pin and used the left over straw with goat manure. Okay well actually...raising goats can be complicated! :) I use my goats to clear out my woods which is very handy when I can keep them in the fence... But their main source of food is what grows naturally on my property, so we're talking about a manure that is completely organic. Now I have young chickens who I'm hoping will add to my little gardening system. I've looked into and even experimented with aqauponics which is a gardening system using fish. It's a symbiotic relationship between the fish and the plants: The fish waste turns into nutrients for the plants and the plants clean the water for the fish. I'm hoping that my chickens and goats will also have a relationship that benefits each other, where the goats will provide protection for the free riegn chickens and the chickens eat the bugs that could cause harm to the goats...thus building a collection of beneficial fertilizer for the plants to make my garden even more amazing. It's little now as I'm kinda new to gardening and not sure how it would turn out but now after seeing this success of my tomato plants, I'm now inspired to take it to the next level.

I'm also experimenting with worm castings and castings tea as well as sea minerals.
